Kimberly Taylor
Registered Nurse
Hello. I have been in the medical field for nearly 30 years. My focus has always been about caring for the entire patient and their loved one by following treatment plans specific to condition, educating recovery and preventative techniques and showing compassion, understanding and care. As a Registered Nurse, I specialized in critical care to include the cardiovascular ICU, recovery room, and medical ICU. I extended my passion to the community by working with EMS, local fire departments and the city’s hospitals to help create standard protocols that cared for our patients having heart attacks and strokes. I have also gotten the opportunity to lead many of our amazing nurses in our communities as a director of nursing where I built a ventilator unit and brought in-house blood transfusions to our long-term rehabs. As I accomplished all of this, I felt like I was getting further away from my love of direct patient care and education of prevention. This inspired me to become a nurse practitioner. As a nurse practitioner I have pursued functional medicine because I want to get to the root cause for patients, so that each one of them can achieve their definition of health and feel the best they can feel. Functional medicine focuses on the root cause of illnesses from seasonal allergies to various autoimmune diseases and the correction through supplements, gut health, hormone balancing and medications as needed. Currently, for the better balance of each patient, I am working on certification for bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and functional medicine.
